Preliminary Audition Dates:

Saturday, May 13, 3:30pm–7:30pm -OR- Saturday, May 20, 3:30pm–7:30pm

Please only attend one audition. 

After you have enrolled in the Summer Intensive, you will be sent a link to sign up for an audition spot. Each audition is 5 minutes.

 

Please prepare 32 bars of BOTH a Ballad and Upbeat song in the style of the show. You are welcome to sing a song from the show. Please bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. 

 

 

This summer’s production will be the very popular and challenging, long running and Tony Award winning Les Misérables (School Edition). Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, this epic story of a man driven to lead a life filled with goodness against all odds is filled with many rich characters that will challenge all our young actor/singers who are involved.

 

This intensive program will not only culminate in a production of Les Misérables (School Edition), but will include instruction in acting, singing, and dancing which are the tools for any serious musical theatre performer. From July 17–29, mornings will be devoted to the instruction in these three disciplines while afternoons will be reserved for rehearsals of our fully staged musical. July 31–August 2 will be reserved for technical/dress rehearsals leading to the opening of Les Misérables (School Edition) on August 3.

Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS

Musical Theatre Production Camp


Dates: June 5–16, Monday–Friday
Morning Session: 9am–12pm
Afternoon Session: 1pm–4pm

Ages: 8–18
Cost: $250, plus $50 registration fee. Second child from same family: $200, plus $50 registration fee.

 

The jungle is jumpin' with a jazzy beat in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle. This two week camp takes students from auditions, through casting leads and ensemble, to the rehearsal process and culminating in an onstage performance, complete with costumes!

It's Princess Aurora's sixteenth birthday, and three fairies—Flora, Fauna and Merryweather—must use their magic to save her from the spell of the evil sorceress, Maleficent! The fairies ensure that Aurora only falls into a deep sleep that can be ended with a kiss from her betrothed, Prince Phillip. To prevent Phillip from rescuing Aurora, Maleficent kidnaps and imprisons him. The good fairies are the last hope to free Phillip so that he can awaken Aurora. This two week camp takes students from auditions, through casting leads and ensemble, to the rehearsal process and culminating in an onstage performance, complete with costumes!

The timeless, “rags to riches” fairy tale becomes a new audience favorite in Disney’s Cinderella KIDS, an adaptation of the treasured animated film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends—and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother—Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince and falls in love! This two week camp takes students from auditions, through casting leads and ensemble, to the rehearsal process and culminating in an onstage performance, complete with costumes!

 

 

Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS

Based on the classic animated film, Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences. Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. This two week camp takes students from auditions, through casting leads and ensemble, to the rehearsal process and culminating in an onstage performance, complete with costumes!

Princess Camp

Do you have a little princess in your family? Then this is the camp for her! Children are invited to take a journey to a land of princesses, as we reenact both old and new fairytales. Young performers will explore princesses through song and dance and perform for friends and family on the last day of class.

 

 

Mickey’s Summer Adventures Camp

Dates: June 12–16, Monday–Friday

Mickey sure loves adventures, and summer adventures are the best of all! Come along and join Mickey and his merry band of friends as they have fun, singing, dancing and acting out escapades that always bring a good time! This goofy group will perform for their friends and family the last class!   

 

 

Pixies and Pirates

Calling all flitterific fairies and plundering pirates! Your mission? To explore the realm of make believe in an action-packed week of enchanting journeys and swashbuckling voyages, spanning from the clouds in the sky to the depths of the sea. Students will present their own, one-of-a-kind adventures on the last day of class!

 

 

Fancy That Camp

Dates: June 26–30, Monday–Friday

Ruffles, truffles, sparkles and lace! This camp will bring a smile to everyone's face! Little ones will explore the fanciful world of the Nancy Storybook series. Each day we will read a new book and learn what it means to be fancy! The camp will conclude in a performance!

 

 

Hot Off Broadway

Dates: June 26–30, Monday–Friday

Afternoon Session: 1pm–4pm

Are you humming the hottest hits from the Broadway stage? Then this camp's for you! Learn the melodious lines of some hot show tunes, while you also gain instruction in the fundamentals of singing and musical expression!

 

 

Fairy Tale Magic

Dates: July 3–7, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (No Class July 4)

Ages: 3-5 (Children must be potty-trained)

This imaginative camp encourages young children to explore the basics of storytelling using popular Fairy Tales. Character development, ensemble building and games will enhance their imagination as they take written stories to the stage. Students will present their own unique fairy tales on the last day of class!

 

Royal Quests

Dates: July 3–7, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (No Class July 4)

This is a fun-filled camp where Knights and Princesses come together in their quest for honor and happily ever after’s. Tackling tales of regal adventures and chivalrous acts, students will take the spotlight as they act out their quests on the last day of class!

 

Broadway Babies

Dates: July 10–14, Monday–Friday

Join us on stage for this fun class as we act out stories and play games! Young students in this class will get comfortable with the stage and basics of performing. We’ll explore storytelling, movement, voice, & character to develop our youngest actors.

 

Broadway Bound

Dates: July 10–14, Monday–Friday

Students will be introduced to the basics of musical theater including acting, dance, and voice. Vocal projection, basic dance steps, and acting techniques will be taught as well as corresponding musical numbers that will be performed on the last day of class.

 

Princess of the Sea Camp

Join us for this exciting camp where students will be exposed to the beginning elements of musical theater dance including ballet, jazz and tap with an emphasis on fun and creativity. Students will perform for friends and family on the last day of class.

 

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.” Exploring Seuss stories and rhymes so bizarre, young girls and young boys become bright shining stars! Acting out tales with each Lad and each Lass, students perform on their last day of class!

  

Welcome to Improv!

Dates: August 7–11, Monday–Friday, 1pm–4pm – WAIT LIST!!
Ages: 8–18

Students will improve their acting skills, stretch their imaginations and refine their listening and cooperation abilities as they practice the art of improvisation. On the final day of class, students will spotlight their newly learned skills in a performance for friends and family.

 

 

Summer Intensive


 

Artisan's Children's Theater Triple Threat Program

Dates: June 6–29, Tuesdays and Thursdays

Afternoon Session: 3:00pm–4:30pm (June 29 class is 3:00pm–5:00pm)

Ages: 12–18 (ages 10–11 with Director's Approval)

Cost: $100, plus $50 registration fee. Second child from same family: $75, plus $50 registration fee.

Drop In: $25 a week, plus $15 registration fee.

Prerequisite: Must have participated in two children's theater shows or equivalent experience.

 

Be Dynamic! Be Engaging! Be Melodic! Be a Triple Threat! Artisan's Children's Theater Triple Threat Program is geared toward current and future Children's Theater Performers. This two day a week class provides instruction in acting, singing and dancing. The Triple Threat Program is an advanced class to improve technique. Develop the skills needed to make amazing acting choices. Sharpen your musical theater dance technique. And find your perfect pitch!

 

 

 

Artisan Ambassadors Summer Intensive

Dates: June 19–23, Monday–Friday

This is an intermediate to advanced class where students get to stretch their performance skills! Artisan Ambassadors is a song and dance performance group that take their show on the road during the Fall and Spring Semesters, performing in local events and good will showcases. This one week intensive will help sharpen your performer's skills and prepare them to sing in harmony and dance in step with the Artisan Ambassadors!

 

 

 

Private Voice and Piano Lessons

VOICE – Voice students will learn vocal technique, breath control, as well as performance and acting elements. Students will expand their vocal range, fine tune their ears, strengthen musicianship, and learn new music for auditions!

Tuition: $100.00 for 4 half-hour private lessons, once a week or $30 per lesson.

 

PIANO – Piano students will learn basic music theory concepts of rhythm, ear-training, and music history. They will understand proper position and technique as well expand their repertoire of all musical periods and styles!
