Locally, he played Hawking Clam in ONSTAGE in Bedford’s production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER. Most recently, he played George Banks in MARY POPPINS here at Artisan. Javier’s favorite roles include Mr. Snow in CAROUSEL (FWAFA); Pugsley in THE ADDAMS FAMILY (MainStage Irving-Las Colinas); Tootles in PETER PAN (Casa Manana); The Genie and Aladdin in DISNEY'S ALADDIN JR (Artisan Children's Theater) and most recently, Ugly, in HONK JR (The Firehouse Theatre). Harrison Cawood (TJ) is thrilled to be back on the Artisan stage in SISTER ACT! He was most recently seen here as Thenardier in LES MISERABLES. Some of his favorite past roles include Cat in the Hat in SEUSSICAL, Buddy in ELF, Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Dick in BIG RIVER, Frog in A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, and Kurt in SOUND OF MUSIC. Harrison is a homeschooled junior and attends Travis Academy of Fine Arts. He also studies tap with Abi Abel and Gracey Tune at Arts 5th Avenue. Harrison loves all things baseball and he is the starting varsity catcher with the PT Warriors. Louise Childs (Sister Mary Theresa) moved from Victoria B.C. 20 years ago to be Nana to her grandson. She got involved as a volunteer driver for the Irving Senior Arts Program and loved what she saw at Artisan and decided to get involved. This is her 16th show here, and has performed in Lewisville and Farmers Branch community theaters. Favorite roles are Mrs. Shinn, Clairee, Grandma Tzeitel, and Mrs. Higgins. She also works as a volunteer for Lyric Stage, ICT Mainstage, Bedford on Stage, and serves on the Board of Las Colinas Symphony. Some of his roles and productions here include the black-clad citizen, Chauvelin in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, the German, Professor Bhaer in LITTLE WOMEN, Uncle Stanley in SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN, Ham in THE ARK, Spirit of Christmas Present in SCROOGE, Sir Dinadan in CAMELOT, and most recently, he was in THE PIRATE QUEEN. Courtney Mitchell (Sister Mary Patrick) is bubbling with joy at making her Artisan debut, while bringing to life a character as genuinely enthusiastic as Sister Mary Patrick. Currently serving as the Worship Minister at Retta Baptist Church in Burleson, Courtney is somewhat new to theatre. She started last year with her role as Mrs. Potts in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Plaza) for which she was surprised with a Column Award nomination. Since then, she has played the commanding Violet in 9 TO 5 (Granbury), the ill-fated Wealthy Woman in DISASTER (ONSTAGE), a sadistic Narrator in INTO THE WOODS (Carnegie), and the comically annoyed Mrs. Brill in MARY POPPINS (Plaza). She thanks her family for being her biggest fans and the most colorful characters in her life.

Sheridan Monroe (Eddie) made his Artisan debut last summer as Poppa in STARLIGHT EXPRESS and more recently, was The Apollo Performer in BUDDY – THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY. He has been performing since he was three, singing in the church choir with his mother, Sheran Keyton. He has worked at Casa Manana, Hip Pocket, DVA Productions, Contemporary Theater of Dallas, and Six Flags of Texas. Gwinevere Nelson (Sister Mary Theresa) became hooked on musicals as a student in Birmingham, Alabama, where music and drama were celebrated in her high school. In Dallas, she had the honor of singing in the renowned Bishop College Concert Choir, and Union Performance choir. She is currently a soloist in the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Ensemble choir in Oak Cliff. Her previous musical performances have been at Artisan Theater, in THE CIVIL WAR, KISS ME KATE, and THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY. She also performed in an ensemble cast in THE BLACK NATIVITY at Bishop Arts Theatre in Dallas, and in GOD’S TROMBONES at Jubilee Theatre in Ft. Worth. She is so grateful to her family for supporting her participation in musicals, which is one of her life’s passions.

She has performed in many productions with her daughter, Nicole. For the last five years, she has also worked behind the scenes in stage management and costumes. Valandia Willis (Sister Mary Lazarus) is from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Carter High School. She attended North Texas State University on a music scholarship, Mountain View College, and Walden University, and is currently completing a bachelor's degree in psychology. She has been a singer in bands, plays, and choirs for over 40 years. She has worked in a few minor productions. This is her first role in a major production. She is very excited for this opportunity to showcase her many talents in singing, acting, and performing.

Natalie BurkhartNatalie Burkhart (Director) is absolutely thrilled to be directing again for Artisan’s Main Stage after recently directing SCROOGE THE MUSICAL. She has been the director for Artisan Children’s Theater productions since 2011, directing over forty shows including SHREK THE MUSICAL, INTO THE WOODS, ANNIE, DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, SEUSSICAL and RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN’S CINDERELLA. Acting credits include CITY OF ANGELS and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at FMPAT, THE TEMPAST at Dallas Shakespeare Festival and Teatro Dallas’ THE PRETENTIOUS MAIDENS. She has also starred in WEST SIDE STORY, SWING, and TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD here at Artisan, and spent two years touring the United States as Betty Blake in ALL HANDS ON DECK after playing the role on Artisan’s stage. Natalie is the proud mother of two beautiful (and very active) toddlers, and would like to thank her husband for his unwavering love, support and encouragement.
Phyllis Huaute (Stage Manager) is enjoying working with the talented director, Natalie Burkhart, again. It’s been a long time, Nat. She has worked on many, many shows over the last 13+ years, mosting in a technical capacity but, on occasion, on stage as well. She won a Column Award for Best Sound Design for PLAYING WITH FIRE AFTER FRANKENSTEIN. A few of her “on stage” roles are: Veta in HARVEY, Betty in THE FOREIGNER, Rachel Lynde in ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, Mrs. Paddy in CURIOUS SAVAGE, and Big Mama in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF.  
Amy JonesAmy Elizabeth Jones (Choreographer) is delighted to be a part of SISTER ACT! Amy has been in many Artisan productions including NUPTIALS, 42nd STREET, SEVEN BRIDES, GUYS AND DOLLS, WHITE CHRISTMAS, and BIG FISH. Most recently, Amy was the Director / Choreographer of the special event, CITY OF STARS: DANCES FROM STAGE AND SCREEN and Assistant Director / Choreographer of PIRATE QUEEN. She also loves teaching at Artisan Academy. Amy thanks her family for their love and support!
Richard GwozdzRichard Gwozdz (Music Director) has music directed productions for many years at Artisan. Going back in time in the 8th/9th grade (1972) he played in rock band, Tejano/Rock Band. Management rip-off traded Hammond organ, electric piano, and Moog synthesizer for a sound system and turntables and became a DJ. DJ’d at Forum Ice Rink/Tandy Center Ice Rink; Played the Organ/CD’s at Will Rogers Coliseum/Fort Worth Convention Center for the Fort Worth Texans’ hockey games. Played heavy metal and a hockey game broke out. Enjoy SISTER ACT.
