Macye ArmstrongMacye Armstrong (Pollyanna) is very honored to be a part of this fantastic production of POLLYANNA! Macye has been performing at the Artisan Theater since she was eight years old. Some of her favorite roles include: Jane Banks in MARY POPPINS, Fancy Nancy in FANCY NANCY THE MUSICAL, and Flounder in THE LITTLE MERMAID. She would like to thank Charles Wallace for giving her this opportunity and being such an encouraging and fantastic director. She is thankful to God and her parents for their love and support.
Henry CawoodHenry Cawood (Jimmy Bean) is GLAD to be playing one of his favorite characters, Jimmy Bean, once again. You may remember seeing him playing the scatterbrained seagull, Scuttle, in Artisan’s THE LITTLE MERMAID. Some of his past favorite roles include: Pugsley in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Flounder and Scuttle in THE LITTLE MERMAID, JoJo in SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, Colin in THE SECRET GARDEN, The Little Boy in RAGTIME, Billy in THE PROMISE, and Oliver in OLIVER. Opera credits include Amahl in AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS. Henry is a homeschooled 8th-grader who also attends Travis Academy of Fine Arts. He studies tap with Gracey Tune, Abi Abel, Eli Holley and Cody Walker. He would like to thank his family and friends for their encouragement and support in doing what he loves to do! Piper DanielPiper Annabelle Daniel (Millie Snow) is delighted to be part of this theatre family and part of the amazing POLLYANNA cast. She’s spent lots of time on both the Main Stage and Children’s Theater, and is so GLAD to be returning to the Second Stage for this heartwarming story with one of her LM2NCP2 gals. She would like to thank God for her talent, her mom for driving her everywhere, and the entire cast that makes up this show.
Rachel FlickRachel Flick (Mrs. Benton) is very excited to be performing in POLLYANNA! This is her second show with Artisan, her first being THE WIZARD OF OZ on the Main Stage. Some of her favorite roles have been Tzeitel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Queen of Hearts in ALICE ONE CAT’S TALE, and Gilmer in GODSPELL. She would like to thank her director, Charles, as well as the cast and crew, for being so amazing to work with.
Robert HamiltonRobert Hamilton (Dr. Thomas Chilton) is so glad that he traded in the strawberries and sunglasses in California for the chicken and cheaper cost of living in Texas. Some of his favorite roles have been leads in SEE HOW THEY RUN, INHERIT THE WIND, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, and THE ELEPHANT MAN. Fatherhood has been his most challenging role to date. Robert would like to thank God, his family, and Artisan for the opportunity.
Jinger JonesJinger Jones (Loretta) is thrilled to be back on the Artisan stage since playing Rhoda in WHITE CHRISTMAS. Other favorite roles include Lucy van Pelt in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN (Duncanville Community Theatre) and Shoemaker’s Elf / Bluebird in SHREK: THE MUSICAL (Music Theatre of Denton). Jinger wants to thank all her supportive friends and family, and her brilliant vocal teacher, Larry Clark.
Ed JordanEd Jordan (Pastor Malden) is thrilled to be making his Artisan debut with such an amazing and talented director and cast after a 27-year hiatus from the stage. He NEEDS to thank his wife, Emily, for letting him come out and play, and Annalise and Calum for still thinking he’s funny, smart, and strong...for now. S.D.G.
Tonya LareeTonya Laree (Mrs. Snow) is excited to be back on the Artisan stage. Her last performance here was as Dr. Kate Murray/Aunt Beast in A WRINKLE IN TIME. A few of Tonya’s favorite roles include: Miss Daisy in DRIVING MISS DAISY, Ethel in ON GOLDEN POND, and Marilla in ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. John LattimoreJohn Lattimore (John Pendleton) is very excited to return to the Artisan Stage and for the opportunity to work with Director Charles Wallace and this talented cast. His last Artisan appearance was as Coggins in CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. John has appeared in ten previous Artisan productions. Favorites include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE MUSIC MAN, and THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL. John extends a personal thanks to Dee Ann and Rick, and to his wife, Linda, for her loving support.
Andy NeillAndy Neill (Old Tom) is very pleased to return to the Artisan stage after his recent appearance in ANNE OF GREEN GABLES as Matthew Cuthbert. He has appeared in 15 other plays, from Singapore to cities across the US, in roles from Shakespeare, Neil Simon, British comedies, and others. He is so thankful for the support from his loving wife, Kathy, and from church leaders cutting him some slack for rehearsals.
Emma PrascherEmma Prascher (Emily Payson) POLLYANNA is Emma’s first stage production that she has been a part of, and she has had a wonderful time getting to perform with her mother, Laura. Emma is currently a 6th grader at Tidwell Middle School and looks forward to doing more theater in the future.
Laura PrascherLaura Prascher (Aunt Polly) is delighted to be playing a Polly again, with the last time being Polly Brown in THE BOYFRIEND in high school. She has been acting on and off for years, with roles such as Anna in THE KING AND I, Marian in THE MUSIC MAN here at Artisan, and most recently as Arista in THE LITTLE MERMAID, also here at Artisan. Laura is thrilled to be onstage for the first time with her oldest daughter, Emma, and can’t wait to share the spotlight with her again in the future.
Meagan Avery SellersMeagan Avery Sellers (Mrs. Payson/Mrs. McCleary) is so glad to make her Artisan debut. She has performed with Love Your City Theatre, the Cleburne Carnegie Players, Plaza Theatre Company, and Uptown Players. Meagan currently resides in Midlothian, is a teacher at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, and is a Plexus ambassador. She wants to thank Jesus for his undying love, and her amazing family and friends for their support. 1st Corinthians 10:31
Bethany Vaughan (Nancy) is incredibly happy and grateful to be back at Artisan Center Theater. Some favorite roles include Mrs. Gibbs in OUR TOWN and Luisa in THE FANTASTICKS. Bethany competed in Karaoke World Championships on the Texas state team, where she earned a spot at Nationals in Las Vegas. Most recently, she performed solo and ensemble acts in THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR (Arlington Music Hall). She wants to thank her amazing family for always believing in her.
Diann WellsDiann Wells (Mrs. Durgin) loves POLLYANNA. It has such a wonderful message that leaves her feeling happy and uplifted. She is delighted to have the role of Mrs. Durgin who is a nicer character than she has played in the past couple of years. She was Mrs. Metcalf, a rather proud and snobby lady, in STATE FAIR, and was Aunt March, a grumpy and strict aristocrat lady, in LITTLE WOMEN. Both of those were musicals on the Main Stage at the Artisan Theater. Diann has been in many plays over the past decade at the Artisan. She is a recent widow, but rejoices in having three children, twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren along with the Artisan and her church “families” and friends.
Charles WallaceCharles Wallace (Director) is excited to direct this wonderfully talented cast! He is a recent graduate of UNH Law and plans to pursue a career in IP & Entertainment Law. He directed the world premiere of ELSIE JANIS AND THE BOYS in 2014, and has managed, designed, and produced numerous other shows around DFW. He is grateful to Artisan for this opportunity, and he is so thankful for his family and Amy for their love and support.
Nancy VoNancy Vo (Stage Manager) is glad to be a part of Artisan Center Theater. Nancy has also done numerous of other shows including her most recent favorite, CURTAINS THE MUSICAL, as Stage Manager. She wants to thank the cast and crew for being SO incredible for working on this show with her.
Nita CadenheadNita Cadenhead (Costume Designer) is pleased to have costumed this show. This is her first time to costume a show on the Second Stage, although she has done many shows on the Main Stage, such as BIG FISH, MY FAIR LADY and PHANTOM. “Pollyanna was one of my favorite bedtime books with my daughters. It has been my pleasure to bring it to life on this stage.”
