Taffy Geisel
Role: Director
Taffy discovered her passion for theater in kindergarten, when she was cast as the Mean Ugly Step-Flower in CINDERELLA IN FLOWERLAND. Twirling in Tigerlily’s orange crepe paper tutu was pure joy in her 6 year old heart. Taffy received the Star Telegram’s Best Actress award for her portrayal of Miss Hannigan in CATS production of ANNIE, and has performed several times at Artisan as Miss Myrtle, the Church Lady in the SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAINS series. PRINCE CASPIAN is her ninth show to direct at Artisan – having previously directed SOUTH PACIFIC, ANNIE (twice), SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN, THE MIRACLE WORKER, GODSPELL, and THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE, for which she was nominated for the Column Awards for Best Director. She is looking forward to directing ANNE OF GREEN GABLES THE MUSICAL later this year at Artisan. Taffy is thankful to her great and mighty Lord, who is the giver of every good gift. Thanks to this terrific cast and crew, who have brought this story so delightfully to life, to Dee Ann and Rick for believing in family friendly theater, to friends who pray, and to Howard, Joey and Caroline, without whom she would not be able to soar.
